DMX announced on March 20th, 2008  that, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Hazwaste Pty Ltd, it has successfully negotiated a 3 year contract with Barrick Kanowna Limited at the Kanowna Belle Gold Mine in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia to process and encapsulate waste generated from the mining operation.

The contract is to treat the current stockpile (approximately 1.5 years production) plus the next 3 years ongoing production.

The stockpile is scheduled to be treated during the first half of FY 2009. The ongoing production will be treated in regular campaigns over the next three years.

DMX will process the material using DMX’s specially designed batching and processing equipment alongside DMX’s Mobile Treatment Plant (MTP). The process will occur on site and will use Dolocrete. The use of the company's Dolocrete® Encapsulation Technology allows toxic wastes to be converted into safe inert materials.

The annual production of very large quantities of arsenic trioxide waste continues around the world from mineral processing such as gold, tin and copper and from wood treatment operations.
